Part-time shari’ah Programme

The part-time programme focuses on the Islamic sciences with a view to training men to become imams. It is also open to men and women who wish to fulfil other pastoral roles in mosques and communities. The part-time Arabic programme is a prerequisite for the part-time shari’ah programme. The part-time programme has the same syllabus as the first two years of the full-time programme.

Shaykh Abdurragmaan Khan, Rector of Dar al-Turath al-Islami, will be teaching live classes in Shafi’i fiqh twice a week.

A 2 year Certified Program in Shafi’i Fiqh

Conditions for Joining the Class

  • Ability to read & understand Arabic
  • Basic Fiqh texts, at least until the level of al-Muqaddimah al-Hadramiyyah

Monday and Wednesday at 12:00 (GMT +2 | Cape Town)

2 live, online classes per week, 45-60 Minutes each. Students are expected to attend live, or to follow the recordings.

This class will be offered online only via Zoom, links will be sent upon registration. 

R 500 Monthly (if able to)
