Imam al-Ḥaddād said about this book: The book Īḍāḥ Asrār ʿUlūm al-Muqarrabīn (A Clarification of the Secrets Known to Those Drawn Near to Allah) is the distilled essence of Sufism. If one wanted to explain its title alone, one would need volumes. How much more so, then, for the profound sciences and secrets it contains? This work was ever-present in Imam al-Ḥaddād’s gatherings, constantly read and studied. Whenever one reading was completed, another would begin.
